Crews began work on the Karsten Thot bridge in Wahiawa

A major project on the way out to the North Shore is underway.

Crews began work overnight on the Karsten Thot bridge in Wahiawa..

The bridge is 80 years old and the state says it needs repairs.

For safety measures, the bridge will be closed around the clock for possibly the next 6 weeks.
