Crews repair an 8-inch water main break at Alewa Drive

Board of Water Supply crews are working to repair a leak in an 8-inch water main at 1740 Alewa Drive. It started in the mid-afternoon on Thursday.

Customers in the Alewa Heights area may experience lower water pressure, while customers at higher elevations may experience a loss of water service.

It is not known exactly how many customers are affected at this time. Customers without water service may call the BWS at 748-5000 to request a roving water wagon be sent to their area. Work to repair the leak is expected to go on through the evening.
