Customers line up as Byron’s Drive-In prepares to close

An eatery that’s been serving Oahu for 47 years is getting ready to shut down.

Byron’s Drive-In is scheduled to close Thursday night.

The owners say the landlord plans to tear down the building, which is located near the Honolulu International Airport.

The closing is disappointing news for customers, but even tougher for the company’s 35 employees.

Byron’s is known for their shrimp burgers and oyster burgers.

The business is also known for their fried treats including Twinkies and Oreos.

Byron’s will close at 10 p.m.
