On the Big Island, a man in his 40′s has apparently drowned in the waters off the Kalapana Seaview Estates, near Pahoa, according to firefighters.
Crews received a call around 10 a.m.
Officials say the man was diving with another man, and possibly a child, while out on a commercial diving vessel, when it happened.
There were too few people aboard the ship to perform CPR on the man, according to officials. He was pronounced dead by a medic when they returned to shore.
