Earthquake hits off Mexico, no tsunami warning issued

A 6.6-magnitude earthquake struck near the coast of Chiapas, Mexico around 12:15 p.m. HST Sunday.

There are no reports of damage or injuries.

Scientists at the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center say no tsunami was generated.
