Ed Case opened his campaign headquarters Sunday on the second floor of Ward Warehouse.
He was the first candidate to officially announce a bid for senator Daniel Akaka’s seat when Akaka retires at the end of his term.
Case served as a congressman from 2002 to 2007.
He will also be kicking off his campaign on Kaua’i, Maui and the Big Island with events later in the month.
