Candidate for Congress Esther Kiaaina filed nomination papers Wednesday morning.
Kiaaina, a Democrat, is running for the second congressional seat.
While she has never held public office, Kiaaina says she has more than 21 years of experience working on Capitol Hill.
Other Democrats running for the seat include former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, Honolulu City Councilwoman Tulsi Gabbard and Bob Marx.
