The parents of a Kailua man who was shot and killed in Waikiki are suing the federal agent accused of shooting him.
In a lawsuit filed by Jenell and Kendall Elderts, federal agent Christopher Deedy is accused of using "excessive and undue" force by shooting their son Kollin.
The lawsuit also alleges Deedy initiated the use of physical force by kicking Elderts in the chest, knocking him to the ground.
Elderts parents are seeking an unspecified amount in damages.
The lawsuit mentions the cost of ambulance and medical bills, along with lost future income.
