Farmers Insurance Hawaii is calling all aspiring songwriters statewide to help promote safe driving and pedestrian safety through a fun and entertaining public service campaign.
The public is invited to enter the Farmers Insurance Hawaii Traffic Safety Jingle Contest by writing lyrics to encourage safe driving to original music entitled "Drive Safe" composed by ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro.
One lucky winner will receive a 30-minute jam session with Jake Shimabukuro and a $500 Apple Gift Card. The winning jingle will be used to promote safe driving and keeping Hawaii’s streets safe for pedestrians.
Submissions will be posted online at www.myfarmershawaii.com from May 11-June 7, where the public will have a chance to vote for their five favorite performances.
All five finalists will be invited to perform for the grand prize at the Road Runner Music Hall at Dole Cannery on June 15 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
All entrants who meet the contest criteria will receive Jake Shimabukuro’s latest CD "Peace Love Ukulele."
