Federal grant to help repair tsunami damage at Keehi

Hawaii will receive $1.4 million to pay for repairs to the Keehi Small Boat Harbor which was damaged during the March 11, 2011 tsunami.

The money comes through a grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and will be used to fix Piers 700 and 800.

“The tsunami did significant damage to many of our harbors and coastal areas and I am very pleased that these funds will help repair the Keehi Small Boat for the continued use of our residents and visitors,” said Senator Daniel Inouye.
