Feds might take over some state workplace safety inspection work

Concerned about a lack of experienced inspectors, the federal government plans to discuss the potential of partially taking over workplace safety regulation from the state's Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Division in the state Department of Labor later this spring, sources said.
