Feds warn motorists about fake air bags

Federal officials are issuing a warning to vehicle owners who’ve had their airbags replaced over the past three years. They say those airbags may be counterfeit, and may not inflate in a crash.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has released a list of nearly 100 vehicles that could be affected.

NHTSA has identified certain vehicles for which counterfeit air bags may be available:
