What was once Tropical Storm Fernanda–is no longer an active storm system. It weakened quickly today–but the islands will see some weather changes this weekend.
If you had to label what’s left of Fernanda…its technically called a post tropical cyclone.
In other words…its a swirl of rain and clouds about 600 miles se of the Big Island.
Most of what’s left of Fernanda will pass to the south but some rain is expected to graze the Big Island and Maui this weekend, and at times it could be heavy.
Although Kauai and Oahu wont see much from this system itself…rainfall over Windward areas will increase for Kauai and Oahu as well, and overall…it could feel a little humid this weekend. Drier conditions kick back in monday.
