A wild fire broke out behind Tripler Hospital, in Moanalua Valley, at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The Honolulu Fire Department is currently battling the fire.
Officials say the fire burned about an acre, although it is deep in the valley.
Firefighters were able to prevent the blaze from spreading, but officials say it’s still smoldering.
No structures are threatened.
