A home in Waimea on the Big Island was damaged in a fire Friday night.
It happened on Kipahele Street around 8:30 p.m.
According to fire officials the fire started on the back lanai of the home and burned about a quarter of the home. A tool shed was also damaged. No one was home at the time.
Firefighters were were able to get the fire under control within five minutes.
Damage is estimated at $140,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
