Four people are homeless after a fire destroyed their Ewa Beach home Tuesday afternoon.
The first alarm came in at 2:20 p.m. to a three-bedroom home on Papipi Drive.
The flames came close to nearby homes.
Neighbors helped battle the blaze with their garden hoses.
Fire officials say the fire started in the garage area.
Two neighboring homes sustained minor damage.
No one was at home at the time.
The cause is still under investigation.
