A Pearl City home has been destroyed in an early morning fire.
The fire on Hookani Street just off Komo Mai Drive began at around 1 a.m. Thursday.
The owner was not home at the time but her 2 dogs were. They escaped unharmed. One neighbor was taken away by ambulance possibly for smoke inhalation.
No other homes were damaged. Red cross is assisting the homeowner.
