The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the flash flood warning for Maui until midnight.
At 8:42 pm tadar continued to show heavy showers along the windward slopes of Haleakala. Some roads such as Makawao Avenue, Kee Avenue and Brewer Road remain closed due to earlier heavy rains.
