The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a flash flood warning Oahu and Maui.
The flash flood warning for Oahu remains in effect until 10:15 a.m. The warning for Maui is in effect until 12:!5 p.m. These may be extended if flooding conditions persist.
The islands of Kauai and Oahu are also under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 a.m.
A severe thunderstorm watch means conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible warnings.
Severe thunderstorms produce winds of 58 mph or higher and/or hail the size of quarters or larger.
