Flash Flood Warning issued for Oahu and Kauai counties
The national weather extended a flash flood warning for the island of Oahu until 10 a.m.
Radar showed heavy rain near Kahaluu, or about 9 miles north of Honolulu. The stream gages at Opaeula and Helemano were still raising due to runoff from rain upstream. Other locations in the warning include but are not limited to: Punaluu, Waiahole, Waikane, Waialua, Wahiawa, Schofield Barracks, Mililani town, Laie, Kahuku, Hauula and Haleiwa.
The warning has been extended until 12:45 p.m. for Kauai.
Locations in the warning include but are not limited to: Haena, Wainiha, Na Pali State Park, Moloaa, Kalalau Valley, Princeville, Kokee State Park, Kilauea, Kapaa and Anahola.
This flash flood warning replaces the pre-existing warning that was In effect for the island of Kauai.
