Flash flood watch issued for Hawaii Island and Maui

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a flash flood watch for Hawaii Island and Maui Tuesday through Thursday.

Tropical Storm Guillermo will be moving near those islands, bringing the possibility of heavy rain and flash flooding.

The flash flood watch will be in effect until 6 p.m. Thursday.

The watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Remember that it does not have to be raining heavily where you are for flash flooding to occur.
