"Food Network Star" casting for season 8 in Honolulu

The Food Network will hold open casting calls in Honolulu to cast for season 8 of "The Food Network Star" on Tuesday, August 30 at the Sheraton Waikiki.

It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

All chefs, line cooks, home cooks, caterers and culinary enthusiasts are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have strong culinary skills, personality that pops, a passion for cooking, extensive food knowledge, and plenty of energy and enthusiasm.

Casting calls will be held in Honolulu, New York, St. Louis, Chicago, Washington D.C., Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Austin.
