Poke lovers have spoken and the winning flavor in Foodland’s "Flyin’ Hawaiian" online contest is the "Homeplate."
The announcement was made this morning by the Flyin’ Hawaiian himself, Phillies center-fielder Shane Victorino, at the Foodland store in Kihei, Maui.
The homeplate is made of ahi cube, kim chee cabbage,
It was also Victorino’s favorite.
More than 5,000 votes were cast online for four different varieties of poke.
The Flyin’ Hawaiian poke is now available at Foodland and Sack ‘n Save stores.
25 cents from every pound sold will be donated to the Shane Victorino Foundation.
Japanese cucumber, kim chee sauce, Sriracha sauce, masago, and kukui nut.
