A former Waipahu resident was shot to death in Las Vegas, and authorities believe his step-son pulled the trigger.
19-year-old Tyten Kaehu-Scanlan was arrested in connection with the murder of Blackie Pele-Poti.
The shooting happened yesterday morning in the south valley.
Las Vegas police say Pele-Poti was found on the street with gunshot wounds to the head.
He was pronounced dead.
Officers arrested Kaehu-Scanlan at a nearby home.
Detectives say the two men had been arguing prior to the shooting.
According to Pele-Poti’s Facebook page, he is a 1986 graduate of Waipahu High School.
