A wanted fugitive is now in custody.
The U.S. Marshals Service Adam Walsh Task Force arrested Rodolfo "Rudy" Sanchez was arrested Friday night at a residence in Mililani.
The 41 year-old was wanted by the law enforcement in Harris County, Texas for two felony arrest warrants.
On July 22, 2009, Sanchez was indicted by a Harris County grand jury on two counts of Indecency with a Child.
He eventually fled Texas and has been a fugitive on the run for over two years.
In coordination with the Hawaii State Sheriff’s Office, task force members conducted surveillance and tracked Sanchez to a residence on Oahu.
At approximately 7:35 pm, U.S. Marshals and Hawaii State Sheriff’s Deputies approached a residence on Waikalani Drive in Mililani and arrested Sanchez without incident. He was transported and booked into the Honolulu Police Department’s Central Receiving Desk and is being held on two $30,000 bonds.
Sanchez will remain in custody pending an extradition hearing back to Texas.
