Gabbard speaks out after winning Congressional seat

Democrat Tulsi Gabbard faced little Republican opposition as she sailed to a clear victory in the First Congressional District.
Gabbard defeated Kawika Crowley with more than 76-percent of the votes.
She is making history with McKinley high school graduate Tammy Duckworth, the Congresswoman-elect from Illinois.
They are the first female combat veterans in Congress.

"Most people don’t know this, but we have over 100 Army and National Guard solders that have just left a few days ago to head to Afghanistan and people are still being sent down range, families are still being effected and we need to do everything in our power to bring them home as quickly as possible," Gabbard says.

Gabbard plans to head to Washington, D.C. next week for congressional orientation.
