A ground breaking ceremony will be held Wednesday for a luxury condo project in Hawaii Kai.
The Hale Ka Lae at Hawaii Kai Drive and Keahole Street is one of the last parcels in the area that’s zoned for a high-rise condo.
242-luxury residences are planned at the three acre site.
A previous construction project at the site raised concerns that it would disturb a nearby heiau.
But the heiau is included in a five-acre park that will be conveyed to the community by the developer.
