A popular Big Island beach is getting a facelift.
Starting Monday, state crews will do some work on Hapuna Beach.
They’ll replace a walkway, pavilion roof, and add new barbecue pits.
The park will remain open, but rental cabins will be closed while the work continues.
Work is expected to be completed in August.
