A girl from Hawaii was among the honored guests at the White House’s first ever kids state dinner.
It was really more like lunch hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Attendees were the winners of a contest to create an original, nutritious lunchtime recipe.
Stefani Shimomura-Sakamoto was Hawaii’s representative.
Her recipe for a scrumptious salmon salad includes mixed greens, brown rice, and furikake.
