Hawaii is urged to start youth program to aspire new teachers

Former West Virginia Department of Education leader Carla Warren joined Hawaii educators, policymakers and advocates Wednesday at the Hawaii Education Association’s annual summit to address the state’s persistent teacher shortage through a pre-­apprenticeship program.
