Hawaii man arrested in connection with decade old murder in Utah

A man who was working as a property manager in Ewa Beach has been arrested in connection with a decade old murder in Utah.

The Salt Lake County District Attorney’s office says 59-year-old Alan Lee Marx was arrested monday in Ewa Beach.

He is awaiting extradition to Utah.

Prosecutors say the 1997 murder of Ward Woolverton went "cold" until it was reopened last year.

Now, new DNA evidence found on a bloody shirt has linked Marx to the crime.

The two lived at the same homeless shelter, and were seen together in the days before woolverton was beaten to death.
