Hawaii public school teachers ratified a contract they originally voted down in January.
Sixty-six percent of teachers voted to approve the January contract while 34 percent voted no.
The contract ties teacher pay with performance.
The Hawaii State Teachers Association notified Governor Neil Abercrombie, Board of Education Chairman Don Horner, Superintendent Kathryn Matayoshi, and U.S. Department of Education Secretary Arne Duncan of the results.
Earlier this month, Abercrombie said the old offer has no legal standing.
The HSTA said they are asking Abercrombie to reconsider this.
