Hawaiian Telcom extends deal with unionized workers

Hawaiian Telcom and its unionized workers, IBEW 1357 reached an agreement to extend a "no strike, no lockout" beyond January 6.

The previous agreement was set to expire on Friday.

The duration of the "no strike, no lockout" period will be determined once the parties’ representatives have an opportunity to meet.

In the meantime, officials say the Company and all employees remain focused on achieving a strong start to 2012 and providing superior customer service.
