Hawaiian Telcom union workers still on the job despite vote to strike

Hawaiian Telcom workers are still on the job, despite a recent strike authorization vote.

The union is meeting with strike captains Wednesday night and plans a meeting for all members Thursday evening.

The union says it is still waiting to hear from the union’s international leaders on how to proceed and they’ve also given Hawaiian Telcom a last, best and final offer.

The union says employees should continue to work as usual unless notified otherwise.
