High surf advisory extended for east shores

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for east facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and the Big Island.

The high surf advisory is in effect now until 10 a.m. Thursday.

Strong trade winds will bring rough surf to exposed east facing shores through Thursday morning.

Surf will be rough and choppy and will measure 6 to 8 feet.
