A Hilo man has been charged with multiple counts of theft and forgery.
Big Island police say 24-year-old Patrick Lindsey stole checks from his former employer, wrote them out to himself and cashed them.
He was arrested Wednesday on unrelated charges, but was charged Friday with 19 counts of theft, forgery and ID theft.
He remains in custody, unable to post $160,000 bail.
