HONOLULU (AP) – The Honolulu Police Department is urging high schools to apply for transportation grants for graduation events.
HPD offers transportation grants for the alcohol- and drug-free high school graduation events known as Project Graduation.
The department says nonprofit organizations affiliated with public and private high schools on Oahu are eligible to apply for grants up to $2,000.
The deadline to apply is June 15.
Since 1996, HPD has provided more than $234,000 in Project Graduation transportation funding.
