The Red Cross is helping the residents affected by a house fire in Kailua-Kona.
Eight people are homeless after a blaze on Kepono Place destroyed a multi-story house Friday afternoon.
Fire officials say one dog died and one was found alive in the burned out building. Another dog has not yet been found.
No humans were injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
