ID theft ring leader pled guilty

The man accused of being the leader of an identity theft ring that victimized 256 Oahu residents and businesses pled guilty to his crimes on Tuesday.

Pyong Pak will serve up to 20 years behind bars when he’s sentenced in January.

Pak used information stolen through burglaries and auto thefts to produce fake IDs, credit cards and checks.

He’s the last of the 14 defendants to be convicted in the crimes.
