A 15-year-old Waipahu girl is safe after an intruder broke into her home Sunday night.
It happened around 10:15 p.m.
Police say the girl was home alone at her Pupuhi Street apartment when a 27-year-old man allegedly broke into her home.
The girl locked herself inside her bedroom and called her father while the suspect allegedly entered her bedroom.
The father called 911 and officers responded to the scene.
The suspect was located and identified by the victim.
He was arrested for burglary, kidnapping and attempted sexual assault.
