Investigators looking at Toyota Camry door fire reports

Federal safety regulators are investigating reports of fires in the driver’s side doors of some Toyota cars and SUVs.

The reports are coming from owners of 2007 Toyota Camry sedans and Rav-4 Crossover SUVs.

Most of the six reported fires were minor with damage limited to the doors, but one Camry was destroyed.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says it could affect as many as 830,000 vehicles.

No vehicles have been recalled so far.

Servo Pacific, the distributor of all Toyota vehicles in Hawaii, says anyone who notices anything abnormal in their vehicle should contact their nearest Toyota Hawaii service center.
