Temporary closure of the Kailua Beach Park boat ramp and adjacent parking lot will be extended an additional day.
Department of Parks and Recreation crews will begin pouring concrete to shore up and repair areas of the ramp on Friday and to finalize the project will require an additional day.
Officials say the boat ramp should be open and ready for public use by Sunday.
