200 members of the 3rd Marine regiment arrived in Darwin Wednesday morning.
They are part of President Obama’s promise to strengthen the U.S. Military presence in Asia and the pacific.
In all, about 2,500 American Military personnel will be stationed in Australia for six month rotations.
