Kauai ocean safety officials have closed Salt Pond Beach due to a shark sighting in the area.
A seven foot grey reef shark was reportedly seen in the water fronting the tower.
The beach will remain closed until at least Friday morning.
Lifeguards will continue to monitor the area.
