HONOLULU (AP) – The owners of a pregnant goat slaughtered at a Kauai dairy believe she was killed by a hunter for her meat.
Louisa Wooton of Kauai Kunana Dairy and her family have offered an $11,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of who killed four-year-old Kaitlyn.
Wooton said Tuesday if the goat’s killer was someone in need of food, the family would have helped.
Wooton says the goat’s remains were found early Friday. Her family has raised Kaitlyn since birth.
Kaitlyn was tame and would often lick out of people’s hands.
