A man has been charged in an arson case on Kauai.
50-year-old Henry Garvey was booked in connection with a fire late Saturday night at the Christ Memorial Church in Kilauea.
Police say he was initially arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, but later admitted to starting the fire.
He posted $1,000 bail and is awaiting trial.
Damage to the church is estimated at $1,500.
