Kilauea Episode 39 ends after lava fountains reach up to 1,400 feet

An episode of lava fountaining at Kilauea ended early today after nearly six hours of continuous activity inside Halemaumau crater, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s Hawaiian Volcano Observatory.
