Kutcher confirmed as Sheen’s ‘Two And A Half Men’ replacement

Ashton Kutcher has been confirmed as the new star of TV sitcom Two And A Half Men.

The actor will replace Charlie Sheen, who was fired from the show in March following a heated and public dispute with show creator Chuck Lorre and producers.

TV bosses at CBS and Warner Bros. Television have been looking for Sheen’s replacement on the hit comedy for weeks and reportedly asked British star Hugh Grant to take his place.

News of Kutcher’s interest broke on Thursday and he added fuel to the rumors by posting the tweet, "What’s the square root of 6.25?" on Thursday night. The answer to the riddle is 2.5.

Announcing the big TV news, Lorre says, "We are so lucky to have someone as talented, joyful and just plain remarkable as Ashton joining our family. If I was any happier, it’d be illegal."
