UPDATE: Maui police say the moped rider has died.
He was identified as Kana Cox, Jr. of Lahaina.
He was 53-years-old.
Police say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Maui Police say a moped rider was critically injured fter he collided with a pickup truck.
The accident happened around 11:30 a.m. Easter morning on Honoapiilani Highway, near Wahikuli Road in Lahaina.
Police say the pickup truck did not yield to the moped rider, who had the right of way.
Officials say the moped rider is a 53-year-old Lahaina resident. He was taken to Maui Memorial Medical Center.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 66-year-old man also from Lahaina, was not injured.
Police have not determined if speed, drugs, or alcohol were involved in the crash.
