The city of Lahaina will celebrate the annual migration of Pacific Humpback whales with their upcoming Lahaina Whale and Ocean Arts Festival, March 12 and 13.
On Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Banyan Tree Park, artists will display marine-themed art for sale while musicians and hula troupes entertain.
In addition, there will be a kid’s ocean art contest, whale photo displays, and a creature feature touch pool exhibit by Maui Ocean Center.
The festival consists of dozens of events and displays, which offer visitors and residents opportunities to learn more about the whales.
